Textured Lidded Jar in Yellow Blue Ash

A few years back, I got deeply involved in making lidded jars for a while. As I worked, I started carving on the lids to add interest to the piece over all. The carving patterns became more and more complex and eventually led me to switch to platters so that I would have more room to carve. And thus the Nautilus collection was born! But I digress… I enjoy making jars of all shapes and sizes, but jars that are low and wide have an extra appeal somehow.

This little lidded jar would be good for candies, sugar, tea bags, well… anything small really! It has a great presence and adds a wonderful decorative element to a room.
