Light Blue Ash Lidded Jar

Hamilton’s latest jar combines rhythmic texture with serene glaze in a form that feels both ancient and contemporary. The surface is hand-carved in wide scalloped bands that wrap the body in alternating rings of movement and stillness. A soft blue glaze pools into every carved depression, accentuating the pattern with subtle tonal shifts.

Thrown on the wheel and finished with Hamilton’s signature care, this jar is fired in a Cone 10 reduction atmosphere for added depth and variation in color. The lid, topped with an organic finial, echoes the gentle curves of the vessel below.
