Coil Bowls Workshop

This became a popular workshop right away! In the Coil Bowls workshop, we provide you with one of our bisqued  bowl forms that you then use as a template to create your own coil clay vessel using ropes of clay that we've prepared earlier in the day. Arrange the coils however you want to make interesting and varied designs in the resulting pot. You can even leave gaps between coils in your design to created an open-weave fruit bowl. This workshop is very easy, a lot of fun, and allows for infinite variations in design!

Wednesday, February 5, 2020, 5:30-7pm

Enjoy creativity and comradery as our resident potter, Hamilton Williams, shows you how to create your own one-of-a-kind work. Workshops are oriented  toward beginners so that in 2 hours or less participants can complete a project they can be proud of. Workshop projects are designed to teach participants essential clay techniques so that they can take on more challenging workshops in the future. All tools and materials, and some light refreshments, are provided.

Completed projects are left at the end of workshops so that they can be glazed and fired. Participants can select from one of several glaze colors.

Cost: $35 (payment required to reserve space)

*We can schedule additional workshop dates for parties of 6 or more. Deadline to sign up for a scheduled workshop is 6pm on the day prior to a workshop. Workshops with less than 5 paid sign-ups at that time will have to be rescheduled.

During workshops, Hamilton Williams Gallery often takes photographs and video of workshop participants, works-in-progress, and finished workshop pieces for the purposes of marketing future workshops and Hamilton Williams Gallery. By participating in a Hamilton Williams Gallery workshop, participants provide permission to Hamilton Williams Gallery to record and use photos and videos. Participants that wish to opt out of this provision should let us know when registering for the workshop.
